Overview of Opportunity

As a marketing intern you will play a crucial role in promoting our brand, raising awareness about our range of products and capabilities, and engaging with existing and potential customers through several social media platforms.

Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and talented marketing intern to join our team. As a marketing intern, you will assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, drive customer engagement and generate leads. Your primary focus will be on leveraging social media platforms and optimizing our website for better visibility and engagement. You will collaborate closely with the management team to create compelling content, manage social media campaigns, and track performance metrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies to promote our services and engage with our target audience ·
  • Create, Schedule, and manage engaging content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and Youtube.
  • Develop High quality content, including blog posts, articles, infographics, and videos to be shared on social media platforms.
  • Monitor social media trends, track relevant industry news, and identify opportunities for engagement.
  • Engage with followers, and respond to comments
  • Help optimize our website for search engines (SEO) and user experience, ensuring content is up to date and engaging
  • Track and analyse website and social media analytics to measure effectiveness of marketing efforts · Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices and emerging social media platforms

Skills and Experience (Essential):

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create engaging content
  • Basic Knowledge of SEO Principles and website analytic tools (e.g. Google analytics)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.

Skills and Experience (Desirable):

  • As a small company, and in turn team. It is extremely helpful, if not imperative that staff members broaden their areas of responsibility. In the case of this role, although marketing will be most frequent type of work, assistance with sales, be that by phone, email or face-to -face would be beneficial. Of course, this type of work would be directed and closely overlooked by one of the Directors.
  • Another area of experience and knowledge that would be valuable within the role would be graphic design. The ability to design and create various types of media utilising photoshop and other editing/layout software would be a practical and advantageous skill.
  • Furthermore, the candidate could also expect to assist with administrative work.
  • Own transport is desirable, but not essential.

Qualifications:

  • Current enrolment as a university student, preferably pursuing a degree in marketing, communications or a related field.

Potential for Permanent Employment (if applicable):

  • This role has the potential to become permanent if the initial internship is deemed successful.
