Overview of Opportunity
Life Skills Hub Ltd are a young, rapidly growing company offering specialist wellbeing support across a range of internal and external settings and within the community with a view to improving positive wellbeing for children, young people and adults aged between 0-25 years old.
Life Skills Hub was founded with the passion for making a difference to children and young people within Hull and East Riding area by building up a rapport with individuals to make positive changes in a range of life skills.
The Marketing Intern will lead in building Life Skills marketing strategy and workflow – liaising with the management team regarding content and its targeted approach to existing clientele. Life Skills Hub Ltd are looking for someone to bring an insight and knowledge of marketing work flows and proven strategies to the business, combining with existing expertise within the business for targeted campaigns.
Role Description
- The Marketing Intern will take ownership of the Life Skills Hub Ltd marketing area, and work closely with the Directors and team on a marketing strategy and structure
- Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, target audience, and consumer preferences to gather valuable insights for marketing campaigns and strategies
- Content Creation: Assist in creating engaging and compelling content for various marketing channels, such as social media posts, blog articles, newsletters, and website content
- Social Media Management: Support the management and production of social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, responding to comments, and analysing performance metrics
- Campaign Support: Aid in the execution of marketing campaigns, including organizing promotional activities, coordinating events, and assisting with the distribution of marketing materials
- Marketing Collateral: Assist in the creation of marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, case studies, and sales support materials, ensuring brand consistency and quality
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of marketing activities, track expenses, and generate reports on campaign performance and key metrics for review by supervisors
- Stay Updated: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging marketing tools and technologies, and best practices to contribute fresh ideas and insights to the marketing team
Skills and Experience (Essential):
- Strong Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills are essential for conveying ideas, collaborating with team members, and interacting with clients or customers
- Creativity: The marketing intern should possess a creative mindset to contribute innovative ideas for marketing campaigns, content creation, and problem-solving
- Attention to Detail: Paying close attention to detail is crucial in marketing to ensure accuracy in content, data analysis, and campaign execution
- Analytical Thinking: Having the ability to analyse data, interpret trends, and draw insights is valuable for optimizing marketing strategies and making data-driven decisions
- Adaptability: The marketing landscape is constantly evolving, so being adaptable and open to change is important in order to adjust strategies, embrace new technologies, and stay ahead of the competition
- Time Management: Effective time management skills are necessary to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritize projects efficiently
- Team Player: Being a team player and having good interpersonal skills enable successful collaboration with colleagues, managers, and external stakeholders
- Digital Savviness: Proficiency with digital tools, social media platforms, content management systems, and basic analytics is advantageous in today’s digital marketing environment
- Self-Motivation: Demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to take initiative in seeking learning opportunities and contributing to the marketing team’s success is highly valued
- Passion for Marketing: Showing genuine interest and enthusiasm for marketing, staying up to date with industry trends, and being eager to learn and grow within the field
Skills and Experience (Desirable):
- A current student/finalist or recent graduate from a Marketing degree would be advantageous
- Previous implementation of a marketing strategy commercially or on a university project
- Some proven content creation experience commercially or on a university project
- Knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO) improving website visibility/customer journey etc advantageous, but not essential
- Previous exposure to/knowledge of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system advantageous, but not essential
- Knowledge of data analysis, previous exposure gathering data and producing reports advantageous, but not essential
- Full Driving licence would be advantageous, but not essential
Qualifications:
- A current student/finalist or recent graduate from any degree specialism to be considered, combined with strong creative aspect/marketing knowledge
- A current student/finalist or recent graduate from a Marketing degree would be advantageous
Potential for Permanent Employment (if applicable):
- Yes, this is an initial 12-week internship, with the potential to turn permanent if internship deemed successful
