Marketing Executive (We’re A Knockout)

Company Overview

We’re a Knockout Ltd supply ‘It’s A Knockout’ style events throughout the UK; corporate team building activities, charity fundraising, family fun weekends, parties, special outdoor occasions, festivals, summer fairs, carnivals, sports days. The company also provide large community team events, such as; Brownies, Guides and Cubs, schools, youth clubs and sports clubs of all sizes/types.

 

Overview of Opportunity

We’re a Knockout Ltd provides ‘It’s a Knockout’ style games throughout the UK and parts of Europe, for various types of events; charity fun days, corporate team building events and alternative sports days. The company was established 20 years ago and now runs over 70 events a year, to a variety of clients from FTSE 100 organisations to University, school students, as well as private parties.

The company has a high rebooking rate, but has relied solely on Google Adwords as its marketing platform. The company now wants to expand its sales potential by pursuing the development of all social media platforms and additional forms of online marketing.

The appointed candidate will have sole responsibility for developing and pursuing all social media platforms and marketing opportunities.  They will also be expected to join many of the events to provide live marketing content and support the team at events.

 

Role Description

  • Update social media sites
  • Write blogs, articles and posts
  • Respond to social media posts and discussions
  • Check online for company mentions and customer feedback
  • Develop strategies to increase your audience
  • Use social media tools to manage multiple sites
  • Use web tracking tools to check how effective your campaigns are
  • Travel throughout the UK with the event team, marketing We’re a Knockout events and assisting the events team where necessary

 

Skills and Experience (Essential)

  • Knowledge of media production and communication
  • To be thorough and pay attention to detail
  • The ability to work well with others
  • The ability to use your initiative
  • Thinking and reasoning skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • To be able to use a computer and the main software packages confidently
  • Willingness to travel throughout the country

 

Skills and Experience (Desirable)

  • Successful candidate will have a full UK driving licence, held for over 12 months
  • The ability to sell products and services
  • Business management skills
  • Customer service skills

 

Qualifications

  • A Business/Marketing orientated degree preferred
  • A similar degree with evidence of strong marketing skills and knowledge to be considered

 

Potential for Permanent Employment 

  • This vacancy has the opportunity for permanent employment on a part time basis, if the internship is deemed a success
