Overview of Opportunity
RADD Solutions develop enterprise business solutions through bespoke software development, integrations, consultation and legacy software maintenance. Our largest customers are in the passenger rail sector. RADD is a small company entering a period of intentional business growth to diversify our client base and grow our internal human resources. Agility and customer relationships are key to RADD’s current success.
The purpose of the Graduate Software Engineer is to analyse business problems, identify and document requirements, and design and implement software solutions. RADD are seeking a Software Engineer who is excited by both greenfield projects and problem solving with legacy applications and frameworks.
Role Description
- This position is 100% remote working, with continual support available throughout
- Working closely with a small team on exciting projects with short delivery periods – RADD work with various national companies in the passenger rail and other differing sectors
- Initially starting on small scale projects, building up responsibility as the internship progresses
- Software design and development
- Problem solving and requirements documentation
- Software testing
- Authoring user documentation and instructions
Skills and Experience (Essential):
- Programming skills in C# and .Net
- SQL skills
- Software Design / Architecture skills
- Full-stack development (however, we aim to distribute work based on preferential skill sets)
- Have the drive to learn new skills, adapt, and solve new problems
- The desire and ability to lead projects and interact with clients
- Ability to investigate, gather and record requirements
- Unit testing and functional testing skills
- Debugging skills and a methodical approach to problem finding
- Resourcefulness
- Have self-motivation and time management skills, particularly working in a remote environment
Skills and Experience (Desirable):
- Angular skills
- Blazor skills
- WPF skills
- AI and Machine Learning knowledge
- DevOps familiarity
- Azure and AWS cloud environment familiarity
Qualifications:
- A recent graduate in Computer Science (or related subject with essential criteria evidenced)
Potential for Permanent Employment (if applicable):
- Yes – this role has a view to turn permanent if successful
