Overview of Opportunity

  • Kinetic Laboratories Ltd are a Hull based furniture manufacturer that specialises in the design and manufacture of laboratories for the educational, industrial, and medical sectors.
  • With an increasing client base and exceptional reputation, Kinetic Laboratories now require a Project Technician due to company expansion – with a view for an initial internship to become permanent if deemed successful.
  • The opportunity will involve liaising with various project stakeholders, working closely with the production office team in particular, in managing furniture projects whilst producing working drawings for submission to the client for approval.
  • The successful candidate will be guided by an existing Project Technician (also a graduate).

Role Description

  • Managing various diverse furniture projects
  • Producing working drawings, to be approved by the client and management
  • Liaising with internal teams, working closely with the production office team
  • Working with drawings to produce a series of cutting lists and CNC programs – with the application of processes, methods, knowledge, and skills to achieve the project objectives
  • Ensuring all work is accurate in line with current standards and client requirements

Skills and Experience (Essential):

  • Knowledge of Solid Works or Auto CAD 2D
  • Strong IT Skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, clients, contractors and others involved in the design process
  • Enthusiastic and confident approach
  • The ability to work in a team
  • Self-driven and determined

Skills and Experience (Desirable):

  • Experience utilising your design skills in a customer facing project(s)

Qualifications:

  • A current finalist or graduate from an engineering subject preferred
  • Any STEM degree subject considered, combined with Solid Works or Auto CAD 2D knowledge
