Overview of Opportunity

  • Module-AR Ltd are an Off-Site Construction Designer and Manufacturer based in Hull –offering multi-sector design and build, construction solutions. M-AR Ltd have their own 100,000 sqft manufacturing facility, allowing them to implement Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) with the unique ability to undertake construction projects of varied scales under one roof in-part or in-full. M-AR Ltd have a growing reputation in the marketplace with projects ranging up to £25m and operate nationally throughout the UK, with areas of expertise in Residential, Education, and Commercial projects.

  • The Graduate HSE Assistant will have extensive training from existing HSE Manager, as they support them across all functions of the business. This role is new to M-AR Ltd as it expands its HSE team, ideally suited for a graduate looking to start their career in the health and safety sector.

Role Description

  • Working alongside existing Health, Safety and Environmental Manager – learning all aspects of the business and its functions to support with HSE advice on all matters across M-AR
  • Contribute to and support the Health and Safety team with the administration of the health and safety systems that are in use across M-AR, including the health and safety reporting system
  • Support with audit and inspection reports on Health and Safety issues
  • Support with Health and Safety training across the organisation alongside the Learning & Development team
  • Compile reports for the Head of Health and Safety and relevant committees
  • Engage in your own on-going learning and development opportunities within M-AR Ltd, in general and HSE related (potentially to NEBOSH Diploma level), to help you to progress in your career

Skills and Experience (Essential):

  • Have an interest in all matters Health, Safety and Environmental
  • Excellent IT skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Be approachable with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • The ability to perform when under pressure
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Able to plan and manage time/workload effectively
  • An appetite to improve the health safety and wellbeing of any persons employed by M-AR and in general

Skills and Experience (Desirable):

  • Full driving licence is desirable, willingness to learn to drive being essential
  • Existing knowledge of existing Health, Safety and/or Environmental practices
  • Experience of providing reports and statistics (this could be in a job or as part of your studies

Qualifications:

  • A recent graduate or current finalist (graduating in 2023) from any subject area to be considered

  • Yes, this role has the opportunity to turn permanent if initial internship deemed successful
