Overview of Opportunity

The Graduate Client Services Assistant opportunity is key to supporting the delivery of an excellent service to clients of the firm, whilst providing administrative support to Financial Planners on a daily basis – underpinning the delivery of accurate, comprehensive advice given to clients by Financial Planners, ensuring Informed Financial Planning maintain an excellent level of service.

This role is a great opportunity to develop an understanding of working in the Financial Services industry, gaining experience and developing skills highly valued by financial services firms. The role aims to give the intern a quality start to a career in the industry by working across2 internal departments – both the Client Services (CS) and Technical departments, learning a plethora of tasks that flow between them.

Should the Intern have displayed the skills and attributes essential for the role, and a permanent position is available, an opportunity to follow our graduate training scheme will be offered. Roles could be available in CS, Technical, Paraplanning, Compliance, Finance or Business Development. With a personal development plan created and fully funded qualifications supported, with the potential to work towards Chartered Financial Planning.

Role Description

  • Working closely within a strong supportive team, being guided by various members of the Client Services and Technical departments at Informed who will be available to the intern
  • Diarising client meetings for advisors, making the necessary Outlook calendar bookings, sending client confirmation emails and reminder texts
  • Preparing relevant paperwork for meetings
  • Input and maintain accurate client records on back-office system
  • Liaise with providers to obtain client plan information and obtain updates on work in progress
  • Updating clients/customers on work in progress
  • Assist with preparation of information for reports
  • Occasionally answer incoming calls, taking initiative to deal with client and provider enquiries
  • Deliver an efficient, friendly, and professional service for all clients, providers, professional partners, and visitors
  • Manage daily task organisation and prioritisation

Skills and Experience (Essential):

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365 programmes
  • Good organisation skills with ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Takes personal responsibility for consistently delivering high quality work
  • Accurate with good attention to detail, with the ability to be discreet and professional
  • Good grasp of English language and mathematical concepts
  • An interest in the financial services industry

Skills and Experience (Desirable):

  • Knowledge and understanding of Financial Services advantageous
  • Graduate/undergraduate from Accounting, Economics, Law, Business advantageous but not essential

Qualifications:

  • A recent graduate or current finalist (graduating in 2023) from any subject area to be considered

Potential for Permanent Employment (if applicable):

  • Yes, this role has the opportunity to turn permanent if initial internship deemed successful
