Overview of Opportunity
Riva Foods are specialist food manufacturers based in Hull, producing spreads and butter portions, garlic slices and topped breads – supplying their specialist produce to pizza chains, wholesalers, pubs, restaurants, manufacturers and school or factory kitchens etc.
During a positive period of change for the company, Riva Foods have a new sales strategy and are relaunching a newly designed website. Coinciding with this, Riva Foods require a part time Marketing Intern – to be responsible for an increased presence on social media to build brand awareness and drive engagement with the website/sales team, alongside management of the new website.
With no previous dedicated Marketing department, and very little social media engagement, Riva Foods want to capitalise on this opportunity to strategically grow their brand and drive engagement through the social channels – utilising a Marketing internship for post scheduling and analytics, in addition to creative content generation.
Role Description
- Working alongside Riva Foods sales team, driving the key marketing of a new website launch and social media campaign
- Maintaining new website from launch: ensure links, such as social media links etc, are all present and functional
- Analytics: running key to provide information and data to the sales team and other key stakeholders
- Social Media: utilising platforms such as Instagram and LinkedIn to increase brand awareness – creating and publishing a back catalogue of images, scheduling regular posts, creating a content calendar, creating eye catching/vibrant and interactive content (highlighting organisation activity), promoting the correct identity and style of Riva Foods, promoting and signposting customers to the website (interacting on posts/groups comments etc)
- Research: look at successful social media posts and campaigns to benchmark activity against the industry, link with other employees to utilise their network, create a database of customers to connect and interact with generating greater visibility etc
Skills and Experience (Essential):
- An obvious passion for Marketing
- Creative mindset to contribute innovative ideas for content creation etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work autonomously
- Proactive
- Good eye for detail
- Knowledge and experience of scheduling social media posts
- Experience creating content, predominantly in a social media or web-based setting, either in a commercial or education/project-based setting
Skills and Experience (Desirable):
- Previous exposure to social media analytics, either in a commercial or education/project-based setting
- Able to analyse data and report your findings
- Thorough understanding of how social media content can drive engagement
Qualifications:
- A current student/finalist from a Marketing orientated degree or similar to be considered
Potential for Permanent Employment (if applicable):
- No, this internship is project based with no permanent opportunity expected
