Overview of Opportunity

Due to internal promotion The Water Hydraulics Co Ltd are looking for a Design & Development Engineer to work in the design department as part of the engineering team.

Role Description

You will work alongside engineers to design and develop a range of innovative water hydraulics products.

  • Design and development of water hydraulic solutions.
  • Devising and executing tests on water hydraulic equipment.
  • Contributing to formal and informal design and development reviews at appropriate stages of projects
  • To prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
  • Design 3D models using SolidWorks
  • Prepare detailed engineering drawings using geometric dimensioning and tolerance practices
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of simulation models
  • Development of test equipment and instrumentation
  • To evaluate customer and internal requirements and identify gaps to current products and future developments.
  • Experience with high pressure hydraulic equipment.
  • Rig test instrumentation and operation including data acquisition and post processing.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong relationships with product and manufacturing engineering teams, customers, and suppliers.

Skills and Experience (Essential):

  • No previous experience required but will ideally have a good Knowledge of Hydraulic systems

Qualifications:

A degree or working towards in mechanical engineering or related subject
