£10 per hour, plus the potential of performance-based commission

Hours:

15 to 32 hours per week, flexible depending on chosen candidate

Duration:

12 weeks minimum initial internship, with a view to turn permanent if successful

Overview of Opportunity

FanGo develops bespoke event management software including ticket booking, meeting room hire plus food and drink pre-orders and payments. FanGo’s technology eliminates administrative tasks thereby increasing productivity, opening new revenue streams and enhancing customer service.

The purpose of the Business Development Graduate position is to support the sales team in the roll out of the FanGo software. The intern will work closely with the senior management team, gaining experience in researching prospective clients, contacting prospective clients via multiple channels, attending team meetings and working as a team member in an office environment. There will be opportunity for personal development by completing online sales and public speaking courses, as well as learning first hand from the company directors. This internship will ideally become a permanent position at FanGo if the internship is deemed successful.

Role Description

  • Working closely with the existing sales team members, with support and guidance along the way
  • Help create a range of different sales approaches and methods
  • Researching prospective clients, identifying the key individuals to contact
  • Quality lead generation and contacting prospective customers via multiple streams; e-marketing, brand awareness, corporate alliances, telesales etc
  • Co-ordinating marketing campaigns with sales activities
  • Providing outstanding communication internally and externally
  • Keeping an up to date log of prospective clients
  • Providing feedback and updates to the director

Skills and Experience (Essential):

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The capability to learn and also talk about IT services
  • Good research and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to use your initiative
  • Customer service skills
  • Determination and drive to succeed
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office main software packages)
  • A keenness for self-development
  • A creative approach, with the ability to think outside the box!
  • Must be able to travel to FanGo’s Beverley premises

Skills and Experience (Desirable):

  • An enthusiasm to learn and work within a small team
  • A general interest in business
  • Own transport desirable but not essential due to internship location of Beverley

Qualifications:

  • A recent graduate or current finalist in any subject to be considered

Potential for Permanent Employment (if applicable):

  • Yes, this opportunity has the intention of becoming permanent following a successful internship
